Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the La Comprita website and the orders you place through it. By placing an order you accept them.

Who we are

La Comprita is a grocery delivery service in Puerto Rico. We shop our supermarket and, where available, Costco on your behalf and deliver the order to the address you give us.

Orders and prices

• Prices shown are the in-store shelf prices at the time you order. Weighed items and substitutions can change the final amount.
• Costco items are shopped with our own membership. They are only available in ZIP codes we serve from Costco, and orders that include them after the daily cutoff move to the next available delivery day.
• You may ask for products that are not listed. We will try to find them and add their cost to your order.

Payment

When you order by card or PayPal we place a temporary hold for the estimated total. After your order is shopped we charge the final amount: the store receipt (including the IVU paid at the store), the delivery fee and any tip. For deliveries scheduled more than a few days out, your card is saved and the hold is placed shortly before delivery. Venmo payments are confirmed by our staff.

IVU

La Comprita does not collect IVU on this website. You reimburse what we paid at the store, and the store's receipt includes the IVU charged there. The IVU figure shown at checkout is only an estimate.

Age-restricted products

Alcohol and tobacco are only delivered to adults of legal age. Our driver will ask for a valid photo ID at delivery and will not hand these products over without it.

Delivery

We deliver to the ZIP codes listed at checkout. Delivery windows are estimates; we will contact you if we expect to miss yours.

Promo codes

Promo codes have the conditions shown when they are issued, cannot be exchanged for cash and may be withdrawn at any time.
